What’s Wrong With SB 256?

There are numerous things wrong with SB 256/the Teen Killer Empowerment Act (TKEA). It was written in an inconsiderate manner, requiring sentences that are extremely lenient for some crimes. It goes against public safety, as it mandates parole eligibility for dangerous criminals. And it hurts victims by forcing them to re-live the crimes at parole hearings. SB 256 places the rights of evil criminals to obtain release above the rights of innocent victims.
